NMSH owns four properties, and is the general partner in two tax-credit properties, in addition to working with 30-40 private landlords throughout the Greater Grand Traverse Region to provide housing. NMSH makes permanent rental housing affordable for the homeless through the use of state and federal grants and community contributions to provide rental subsidies at scattered sites throughout the greater Greater Grand Traverse Region, assisting people who have mental health needs and very low income.
Provides housing for four households in four one-bedroom apartments. This facility was purchased and rehabbed in 2001 with a HUD housing acquisition grant and MSHDA MI HOME program loan.
Provides housing for seven households in seven one-bedroom apartments. Bay Front is a tax-credit project funded with a MSHDA HOME loan and credits purchased by Huntington and Fifth Third banks.
Provides five family apartments and six one-bedroom apartments. Woodmere is a tax-credit project financed with a HUD grant, MSHDA HOME loan and NMSH equity contribution built in 2005. Tax credits were purchased by Huntington and Fifth Third banks.
